PHELAN GOLF ACADEMY
Kyle Phelan
enturion Golf has the privilege to have one of the best coaches
in Gauteng North. Kyle Phelan has won the Gauteng Coach of the
Cyear on numerous occasions. In his youth Kyle was an all-round
sportsman obtaining provincial colours in Golf, Hockey as well as Cricket.
His love, and life, was golf and becoming a professional was the goal.
Kyle studied at the University of Pretoria where he attained his
degree in Sport Science. He then specialized and did his PGA diploma
in 2012. During this time Kyle realized that his analytical ability and
the understanding of golf is far better suited for him to be a coach
than a professional golfer. The next step was to complete the Titleist
Performance Institute certification level 2, which he did.
Kyle’s coaching technique is based on an individual assessment. He has
a very good eye in seeing areas of improvement for the golfer. He uses
video set up swing analysis, video putting analysis, flight scope as well
as a stroke gain app. His coaching starts in correcting the golfer’s faults
and making the required adjustments. Coaching golf is an on-going
process and not a once off exercise. The top professionals in the world
do continuously receive coaching to improve their game. In addition to
that Kyle is keeping up with latest technology and his dedication to his This includes the following golfers:
