Captains Invitational 2024
On Sunday, 17 November the Annual Captain’s Invitational took
place, hosted by our Club Captain, Abie Grundlingh. This year’s
event was held at the prestigious Highland Gates Golf Course.
The day kicked off with an early start, as the bus departed at 6h00
and excitement filled the air. Everyone was eager to experience a
fun-filled day on the course. However, the weather had other plans
and caused delays, which meant that not all players were able
to finish their round. The event was shortened to 13 holes, with
Gerhard Lessing emerging as the champion of the day.
Despite the weather setbacks, everyone still had an excellent time
enjoying the camaraderie and the surroundings. We can’t wait to
see where next year’s Invitational will take us!
