NEW GOLF DIRECTOR
JASON HERBST
enturion Country Club (CCC) is
pleased to welcome Jason Herbst
Cas our new Head Golf Director.
Born in Vereeniging and raised in Meyerton,
Jason’s journey in the sport began at a
young age and has taken him through a
rich blend of technical training, professional
play, and club management.
A Class A PGA Professional with additional
certification in Sports Turf Maintenance
through BC Landscapes, he brings
both playing expertise and a deep
understanding of course conditioning – an
ideal mix for a club like ours.
Jason joins us from Umhlali Country Club,
where he served as Sports Manager and
played a key role in expanding coaching
programmes, enhancing member
experiences, and supporting the operational
side of a busy, multi-faceted club.

His experience across management, and turf knowledge positions
him perfectly to lead golf operations at Centurion with vision and
energy.
When asked about a favourite course or standout memory, Jason
doesn’t hesitate: the iconic Gary Player Country Club remains a
personal favourite and a reminder of why he fell in love with golf in
the first place.
Jason shares this message with our community:
“My name is Jason Herbst, and I’m thrilled to join Centurion
Country Club as your new Golf Director. With nearly a decade
of experience in the golf industry – including my previous
role at Umhlali Country Club – I’m excited to bring my
passion and expertise to CCC. I look forward to meeting and
engaging with each of you, whether it’s out on the course or
relaxing on the patio. My door is always open, whether you’d
like to chat about golf or simply share a conversation.”
