Festive Season
DÉCOR Christmas 2025 is a mix of nature,
nostalgia and supersized items,
with a focus on rich textures
rends include pairing deep, moody
colours with warm metallics; using
Tnatural elements like wood and
greenery; and opting for playful themes
with oversized bows and candy cane
patterns. There’s also a sophisticated,
quiet elegance to this season, featuring
velvets and pearls alongside a ‘disco
glam’ look with shine and sparkle.
Bows are back and they are bigger,
bolder and stripier than ever. This year,
ribbons are making a style statement
and the humble stripe is stealing the
spotlight. Whether tied to trees, strung
across staircases or adorning dining
chairs, it’s all about maximum charm
with a twist of nostalgia.
Supersized decorations are stealing
the spotlight – from big baubles to
large paper honeycomb and snowflake
decorations – bringing a bold, theatrical
side to festive decorating. These
statement pieces create maximum in
all kinds of spaces.
For a small space, a hanging
installation of big baubles can work
brilliantly where a conventional tree
would simply take up too much floor
space. They reflect light beautifully
and add a sense of movement and
atmosphere.
Going retro
Nostalgia hits hard this festive season,
stirring up memories from the past.
From retro ornaments to hand-painted
figurines inspired by our grandparents’
homes, charming vintage decorations
are ready for their comeback.
This vintage-inspired aesthetic was
gathering pace last year too, but it
has become huge. Think classic, cosy
colours, timeless details and richly
coloured, vintage-feel pieces with
plenty of velvet ribbons and bows.
