2018 CHRISTMAS FUND

2018 was a tough year! Emotional, physical, financial or otherwise, people were tired and worn out...

hen we started the 2018 Christmas
Fund collection, it loomed like
a mountain in front of me. I was
tired. Yet, when the emails and
Wmessages went out, and the
responses started coming in, I was humbled by
the goodness people continue to display in the
face of their own adversity. In the end all we can do is remain grateful for all that we do have, this
was also my message to the staff members. I wanted them to know residents see and appreciate all
their hard work and dedication, and therefore go the extra mile every year to thank them with our
Christmas Fund. Please know, that they truly appreciated these gifts.

In the end, our fund stood at a total amount of R284,297.22.

The handout of the vouchers took place on the 14th of December, with each staff member receiving a
R4250/per person gift voucher and a Roman’s Pizza gift voucher. This was R250/per person more than
