ESTATE PERSONALITY
AT CORNWALL HILL STABLES WITH
ANGIE LESSING
The winter day is coming to an end and the shadows under the trees extend
across the lawn and onto the ring where a testy filly and rider prance and
lunge through their exercises for the day, kicking up fragrant dust that
dances in the last rays of sun.It is a beautiful and fitting setting to get to
know more about resident, stable owner and horse woman Angie Lessing.

Angie is an award- ngie has lived on Cornwall
winning rider with Hill Estate from the time she
22 years horse riding was a schoolgirl at Cornwall
experience Hill College, with her parents
Aand brother in their first
home on Shillingford Road and then in their
later home in Pencarrow Lane and at the
stables in Longdown Street.
She matriculated in 2010 after a year of
extreme illness that forced her to do her
final year mostly as home study. Despite
her illness she was awarded the Dux scholar
for that year and achieved excellent marks,
ensuring her acceptance for her BVSc
degree in veterinary medicine. Now married
and with two boys of her own, she says her
anchor remains here on Cornwall Hill Estate.
The proximity of an excellent school for
her sons and the closeness to her beloved
horses and the stables have meant that
the estate remains home for her and her
extended family.
The stables have become the base for the
three businesses Angie runs: a registered
veterinary consulting room that currently
operates as a vet shop called PetsHQ,
stabling and teaching horse riding. PetsHQ
will in time establish itself as a mobile
veterinary service available to the residents
of our estate for excellent pet care in the
comfort of your home. The services offered
will initially include vaccinations, micro-
chipping, dietary advice, food and over-
the-counter products for pets.
