Appliances are slowly but surely becoming the biggest stars in the kitchen,

a transition that makes sense considering how much space they occupy and

how significant an investment they can be.

I I n 2024, the kitchen is going full-blown

Technicolor. Gone are subtle colour palettes
like duck egg and deep green. In their place,
homeowners and kitchen designers like colour
schemes and ovens, microwaves and dishwashers to
match, like black or pink, moody versus bright.

With advancements in smart technology, expect
more and more appliances that seamlessly integrate
into interconnected homes, offering unprecedented
automation and customisation. Increasingly,
manufacturers and consumers are focusing on
appliances that can reduce energy and water waste.

Fridges with functional features that keep food fresh
for longer will likely continue to trend in 2024 –
humidity-controlled drawers with adjustable airflow
so food can be exposed to different humidity levels
for optimal fresh storage.

White appliances are back in style, and white
brightens up the kitchen space and is easy to clean,
making them a favourite among homeowners
(especially moms!).
