relies on the wise choices of others
for a harmonious co-existence.
Humility: Often misunderstood,
humility is not about considering
oneself less; it’s about treating
everyone with respect and equality.
It’s the opposite of arrogance.
You are not more important than
others, but equally no-one else
is more important than you. This
principle resonates deeply within our
community, where every role, from
the residents to the security guards
to the maintenance staff, is crucial.
Humility fosters a culture of mutual
respect and appreciation, essential
for a thriving community.
Ownership: This is about taking
responsibility for our actions. As
Martin Luther wisely pointed out :
“You are just as responsible for what
you say as you are responsible for
what you don’t say.” The same goes
for our actions. In our community,
ownership means acknowledging our
part in both successes and failures,
learning from them, and not resorting
to blame or excuses. It’s about being
accountable for our actions and
understanding how they impact the
bigger picture.
Even though we did not meet our
target, we were still able to gift each
of our 70 estate staff members a
Checkers card with the amount of
R3100 per card, and a R200 gift
voucher from Roman’s pizza.
