ESTATE EVENT
ELEGANTLY GINA CORNWALL'S COMMUNITY COMES ”
TOGETHER FOR SPRING WALK
AND ARBOR DAY
P H O T O G R A P H S B Y I V A N M U L L E R
ecently, the community of Cornwall
gathered for a memorable Spring
RWalk and Tree Planting Day. The
event kicked off at 8 a.m. with Mongoose
Park bustling with residents eager to
participate. The new coffee shop, Duke’s,
was a popular stop, providing delicious
coffee and croissants to fuel the walkers
before their journey.
The walk began with a scenic route from
Duke’s, winding down Broadbury to Land’s
End, and then following the river into the
beautiful Meadow. Here, a highlight of the
day took place as residents were given the
opportunity to adopt and plant a tree, a
wonderful way to celebrate Arbor Day and
contribute to our community’s green spaces.
The journey continued through the
challenging but rewarding Quarry area,
before heading back up the hill to the
starting point at Mongoose Park. Weary
but happy walkers were greeted with much-
needed refreshments at Duke’s, where
many, including me, indulged in a great
cappuccino and a delicious croissant.
The day concluded with a community
braai, as fires were lit at 11 a.m., providing
the perfect end to a day of activity and
community spirit. It was a fantastic day,
bringing neighbors together for a great
cause and creating a lasting legacy for
future generations.
