t was a freezing Saturday morning
in May. But despite the ominously
grey sky and the soggy ground,
there was much excitement as
visitors came to see and celebrate
the occasion of the Helderfontein
IClubhouse Roof-wetting.

Over 100 residents and their families
braved the cold, to be greeted by
warm smiles, delicious coffee and hot
chocolate. The catering consisted of
warm pizzas, cooked onsite in a wood-
fired oven, and there were rusks and
cookies to accompany the beverages.

The new clubhouse complex, consisting
of two multi-level buildings, is located in
what will be Phase 3 of the Helderfontein
Residential Estate.

The larger of the two buildings is a
double-storey gym that will be equipped
with the latest fitness gear. It will consist
of an aerobics studio (for Yoga and
Pilates training), a spinning studio, a
weights training area and a general
toning circuit. Access to the gym will be
restricted to residents only, and there will
be free weekly classes. This facility will
also have professional personal trainers,
should residents wish to make use of
their services. Tennis courts will also be
available next to the gym.
The second building, which will
command sweeping views over a family
