Estate News
anthonij rupert Wine Fair
at FourWays Gardens estate
t last, Saturday 6 November
arrived, bringing with it one of
the most highly anticipated wine
Atastings of the 2021 calendar!
Anthonij Rupert Wyne was out in full force,
with an exceptional selection of wines to
suit all palettes – 18 wines were available
for tasting from the Anthonij Rupert Wyne
range.
From the Anthonij Rupert Flagship range,
Optima proved to be highly popular, with
the exceptional Syrah attracting a lot a
curiosity. L’Ormarins offered their non-
vintage Brut and Rosé as well as their
vintage Rosé and Blanc de Blancs, which
were too good to only taste and a few
tables ordered bottles for enjoying on this
leisurely afternoon. Terra del Capo is now
a household name and the Sangiovese
and Pinot Grigio were among the darlings
of the day. Protea wines presented five of
their wines, and their Rosé and Sauvignon
Blanc are undoubtedly perfect for the hot
Highveld afternoons. The outstanding
Jean Roi Provincial Rosé generated much
excitement and, like the L’Ormarins MCC,
is perfect for our scorching summers!
The Cape of Good Hope range brought
unique tasting notes from the terroir to
familiar varietals and our guests were able
to taste the Serruria Chardonnay, Altima
Sauvignon Blanc, Riebeeksrivier Syrah and
Sneeuwkrans Pinot Noir.
With the very generous sponsorship
of Tyson Properties, this wine fair was
accompanied by the talented songstress
Lia Black, who as always, wowed our guests
with her spectacular vocals and sheer class!
The Club team wishes to thank Tyson
Properties for their enthusiastic support
of the Wine Fair and Siobhan Hook from
Anthonij Rupert Wyne,
who took great pride
in ensuring that every
tasting table was
beautifully decorated
and well stocked, to
ensure all our guests
had a wonderful
experience.
