highlight of the Fourways
Gardens calendar was the 2022
Carols Evening, which took place
A in November. This showcase
event was made possible by the generous
sponsorship of Gaye Cawood Realty.

Our restaurant operator, Mike Varrie,
ensured that there were tents on the lawns
and over tables on the tennis court so that
the show would go on even if it rained.

The Mzansi Youth Choir arrived early in
the afternoon in their beautiful costumes
and with infectious energy and their best
singing voices, determined to make it an
event to remember. The sound checks and
warm-ups conducted were a distraction to
many of the kids at the Christmas party –
until Santa’s magic-filled arrival quickly sent
them running back to the party!
The choir hit the stage at 5pm, encouraging
the audience to enjoy themselves and join
in as they performed some classic Christmas
carols in the first half of the show.

The waiters and barmen of Gardens Café
Bistro and Bar ensured that everyone
was well looked after. Then, in the second
half, the choir continued their top-notch
entertainment, showing the talent that has
won them such international acclaim.
As always, the Gaye Cawood Realty team
pulled out all the stops to decorate the
venue and surrounds. We thank them for
bringing this world-renowned choir to
perform here, in the heart of Fourways
Gardens.
