ESTATE NEWS FROM THE ESTATE MANAGER
SECURITY OVER THE FESTIVE SEASON
The holiday period at the end of the year is the time
when everyone wants to relax and have some fun
with family and friends. However, it’s also the time
when we are most vulnerable and the criminals take
full advantage of that.
We encourage Residents to be extra careful during the
holidays. Here are some tips from the Fidelity Services
Group for those Residents who have decided to stay home
over the holiday season.
NO STOPPING ZONES AT ENTRANCES
We recently implemented ‘No Stopping Zones’ just
outside the entrances. The rationale for this is that
when residents stop outside the gates, it creates a
security risk as well as a traffic issue. Furthermore, it
creates a situation where the CPM Rules, specifically
around access/egress control are being bypassed
either by not enrolling permanent staff on the biometric
system or by driving staff that are registered on the
system into the Estate, without recording their access
and egress, as they are not making use of the turnstile.
The long-term plan is to build a drop off/pick up bay
inside the Estate, which does not create a security risk
or block the traffic, however in the interim we have, in
order to facilitate this, removed the ‘Security Parking’
signs so that Residents can use those bays to drop off
and pick up staff safely. Security personnel are also
instructed to assist with traffic control in this regard
during peak traffic times.
GRATUITIES
We would like to THANK YOU for the overwhelming
support for the gratuities for our security and
landscaping teams that work tirelessly throughout the
year to always provide the highest quality of service to
our Estate. Your contributions are greatly appreciated
and they will go a long way towards making their
Christmas a special one.
DECEMBER CLOSING DATES
With the end of the year fast approaching, Residents
are advised of the following pertinent dates:
The Estate will be closed to Contractors from 16
December 2022, and will reopen again on 3 January
2023. The KEHOA Offices will be closed from
22 December 2022 and will reopen on 3 January
2023.
Key personnel will be on standby during this period,
and all measures have been put in place to ensure that
the operations in the Estate remain uninterrupted as
far as possible during the Festive Season
Wishing everyone a pleasant holiday season. If you are
going away, please travel safely.
Kind Regards,
Jade Harris
