MANDELA BLANKET DRIVE KSecret Sunrise, which took place on
EHOA was excited to host its first

18 May in the main park. Secret Sunrise
is a silent, guided dance and meditation
community who celebrate life through
music, movement and connection.

Using headphone technology, headsets
are given to participants on arrival,
and accredited facilitators guide them
through various types of music; public
sessions embrace mindful practices
such as meditation, breathwork, move-
ment and dance. Each session is unique
and often curated according to a theme;
attendees come together to celebrate
and are welcome to dress up. Some
arrive wearing tutus, bright clothing or
those stranger items one finds at the
back of one’s closet that don’t quite
match with anything else. All ages, gen-
ders and fitness levels are welcome.

SECRET SUNRISE

his event took place on 29
TJune in the main park and
residents were treated to a variety
of food stalls, craft stalls, live per-
formance acts and a host of other
activities all themed around this
rich and colourful culture.
