PROJECT

or to use the custom-made swing.

Rewarding project
Meyer says that Umthunzi Views was one
of the most rewarding projects she has
worked on because “the client had a vision
and it was easy to buy into it and be excited
about providing something more than the
average standard for residents of a high
density estate”.
She adds that in difficult times, such as the
Covid pandemic, residents’ mental well-
being was enhanced by the open areas
that landscape architects and landscape
contractors create. “It is a privilege to work
with clients who embrace the idea of giving
people a healthy environment in which to
live and relax. Too often we see residential
developments that only focus on the
number of units that can be sold, rather
than on the user’s quality of life.”
