The approach road to the mall
The soft landscaping and plant material comprises hardy, water wise species that can tolerate extreme cold and intense heat. It is resilient and ensures long-term sustainability.
Soft landscaping and plant palette
The soft landscaping was designed
to enhance the mall’s visual identity
while ensuring resilience and ease of
maintenance. Tree planting included the
following:
• Feature Olea europaea trees were
strategically placed at the mall
entrances to create a strong visual
statement and sense of arrival.
• Combretum erythrophyllum trees
line the avenues leading to the mall,
offering shade and seasonal interest.
• In the parking areas, Olea europaea Carex testacea, Carex ‘Amazon Mist’, Hard landscaping aspects
subsp. africana trees were selected for Strelitzia reginae, Elegia tectorum, THE Landscape Architects were
