           professionalism behind the event’s natural
           beauty.

           Importance of education and
           connection
           While the wildflower displays themselves
remain the heart of the event, the
educational outreach they inspire is its
           soul. Through internships and training
           programmes supported by the Botanical
Society, school learners and students are
           introduced to propagation, restoration,
           and conservation practices. This year’s
           programme included classroom-style
           mini-lectures, guided walks and interactive
           activities designed to deepen children’s
           understanding of biodiversity and
           ecological balance.
By nurturing curiosity and respect Pauridia capensis Geissorhiza radians
for nature at a young age, the Darling
           Wildflower Show ensures that future
generations inherit not only a love of
flowers but also a sense of responsibility for
           the environment they represent.
           A tradition renewed with purpose
From its early roots to its current design,
           the Darling Wildflower Show continues
to embody what makes the West
           Coast community so special: passion,
           perseverance, and partnership. Under Deon
van Eeden’s capable leadership and through
           collaboration with Vula Environmental
Services, the Botanical Society, and the
           wider Darling community members, the
2025 show was both a tribute to history and
           a blueprint for the future.
More than a weekend spectacle, it
remains a living, growing symbol of how
           beauty, education and conservation
           can bloom together. For landscape
professionals, nature lovers and families, the
show is not only worth visiting for hopefully
years to come, it is worth preserving for
           future generations.
