SILVER LAKES ANNUAL LADIES’ OPEN

he Silver Lakes Ladies’ Division
hosted a most successful and fun
TLadies’ Open on Tuesday, 12 March.
We had the unique experience of having a
music-rock show theme intertwined with
18 holes of golf. The Silver Lakes Ladies’
Open has presented something new and
different to the ladies of Gauteng. From
the offset, members and guests entered
the music-rock show with VIP passes
to encounter a different but true rock
experience with the renowned rock violin
player, Sheppel.

Of course, a day like this cannot happen
without our amazing sponsors, who
always jump in and generously donate.
The players received some VIP treatment
from our generous sponsors, Sorbet
Hazeldean, The Stylish Vape, McKenna
Academy, One Weigh, Pam Golding,
Boshoff Attorneys and Conveyors, PSG
Silver Lakes, Bloom Salon and Jondo
sunglasses.

After a wonderful day of golf, the ladies
were entertained by local favourite
singer, Chris Akkadis. With a disco-rock
vibe, great food was served by Fairways
Restaurant.

Congratulations to our winners of the day,
Mariëtte Simpson, Candice Norris, Lize-
Marie Richter, and Dr. Claudette du Toit.

Thank you to all the ladies who helped
make this event a highlight of the year.

I would like to take this opportunity to
thank everyone who has supported me
in these exciting two years of being the
Ladies’ Captain. I loved every minute of
it and wish the new Ladies’ Captain all the
best. I’m looking forward to seeing what
new adventures the ladies’ section will
experience with new personalities on the
golf committee.
