             SILVER LAKES SECURES NORTHVAAL

             and  Wildlife  Estate  came  alive  over
        Tthe weekend  of 2 and  3 August
        2025  as  some  of  the  region’s  finest  golf
        clubs  converged  to  battle  for  the  coveted
        Northvaal Trophy.

        Representing  the  five  major  golf  unions  –
        Central Gauteng, North West, Mpumalanga,
        Gauteng North and Ekurhuleni – the line-up
        read like a who’s who of club golf excellence:
        Royal   Johannesburg,   Potchefstroom,
        Witbank, Reading, and the host, Silver Lakes.


        For  Silver  Lakes,  this  wasn’t  just  another
        tournament.   Fresh   off   winning   the
        Gauteng North Scratch League for the sixth
        consecutive  year,  they  had  earned  their
        place among the elite. And when the final
        putt  dropped  late  on  Sunday  afternoon,
        the scoreboard  told  the story: Silver  Lakes
        had done it again – claiming the Northvaal
        Trophy for the fourth time in six years (2019,
        2022, 2023 and now 2025).
