                                                              developing unique concept stores that trace the history of
                                                              its surroundings, expressed as an old school launderette,
                                                              at its new Mall of Africa flagship store. This store design
                                                              takes inspiration from the former Rand Steam Laundries,
                                                              an enterprise launched during Joburg’s early mining
                                                              town days, which grew so popular that hotels all over SA
                                                              sent their laundry to be cleaned and dyed there before it
                                                              closed in the early ‘60s. “We were thrilled to discover the
                                                              history of the Rand Steam Laundries and immediately saw
                                                              it as an opportunity to design Ted’s very own launderette!
                                                              We can’t wait to share our ‘80s approach of cool colours,
                                                              text signage, bespoke graphic laundry products and
