        BUSHVELD

           A hidden gem on a sprawling
           300-hectare farm, perfectly
           positioned between
           Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa.
           J     ust a stone’s throw away from the
                 renowned Kruger Park, this off-the-grid
                 bush camp is not your average glamping
                 spot – it’s a majestic, fully serviced haven
           that redefines luxury in the heart of nature.
           Bushveld Bivouac opened in January 2023. The
           reserve was purchased four years ago during COVID
           by a Cape Town family keen to rediscover their
           bushveld roots.
           “My husband Andrew grew up on a ranch in
           Northern Zimbabwe and I had always spent a lot of
           time in the bush,” says owner Christine Pulvermacher.
           “We are inveterate road-trippers and wanted to
           experience actual living in the bush (we were living
           in the Cape at the time) as well as having easier
           access to bush trips further afield. We were initially
           considering Victoria Falls and then were invited by
           friends for a week’s stay not far from our farm.
           We used the opportunity to look around and although
           we didn’t really have a clue what we were looking
