THEME: A JUST ENERGY TRANSITION FOR SOUTH AFRICA
A just energy transition (JET) is a shift from our current energy system
to one that is better in terms of sustainability, environmental impact,
climate change, human health, economics, employment and social
equity. The transition, i.e., the process of shifting to a better energy
system, must be as fair and just as possible.
