                                      in Education

021 was by no means an easy
            academic year as the ongoing
       2COVID-19 pandemic necessitated
the continuation of an adaptable academic
delivery. The Class of 2021 at Dainfern
College nonetheless rose magnificently to the
occasion to maintain the College’s enviable
record of a 100% pass rate since inception for
both IEB Matric and Cambridge A Levels.

The Class of 2021 was the 21st cohort of
students to write the IEB National Senior
        Certificate (‘Matric’) since the College
opened in 1997. This group of 58 students
achieved 100% access to tertiary studies, a
96,55% degree pass and 117 distinctions.
Special mention must be made of the IEB Dux Top IEB student, Jenna Sampson, Top 5% of Top Cambridge student Hamza Mahmood,
                                             the IEB in five subjects
four A* passes for A Level
Scholar at the College, Jenna Sampson, who
achieved a full house of eight distinctions and
was ranked in the Top 5% of the IEB in five
subjects and the Top 1% in two.

As a proudly South African school that
places huge emphasis on the value of
        internationalism, Dainfern College has,
since 2019, also offered the Cambridge
International A Level programme as an
academic option from Grade 11, alongside its
excellent IEB Matric academic offering. The
superb results of the A Level and AS Level
classes in 2021 are cause for celebration of
the successful integration of this additional
academic programme at Dainfern College. 2021 Head Girl, Alexia Duvenage, achieved seven IEB distinctions
