TRIBUTE TO A LEGEND









































        The drivers for the 2021 season were:Peter Lindenberg, Paige Lindenberg,
        Djurk Venter and James Temple.


                                                               Peter Lindenberg received Springbok/Protea colours on 39 occasions,
                                                               9 for Barefoot Waterskiing, two for Waterski Racing, 28 for
                                                               Powerboating. He was inducted into the old SA Sports Hall of Fame in
                                                               1982 and the New SA Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. He received the SA
                                                               Sports Merit Award in 1977 and 1978, and the State President’s Sports
                                                               Award twice, in 1980 and 1981. He was also the Maccabi Sportsman of
                                                               the Year on three occasions.
                                                                  He won the European Barefoot Water Skiing title in 1977 and
                                                               the SA Champs in 1977, 1978, and 1979. He also won the French and
                                                               German Championships in 1978.
                                                                  He won his first South African powerboat racing title, as well as set
                                                               a world record in the ramp jump in barefoot water-skiing in 1981. He
                                                               won the SA Formula 1 Powerboat Championships 15 times.
                                                                  He broke the world barefoot ramp jump record in 1980, and nailed
                                                               the Peter Stuyvesant World Ramp Jump Championship in 1981. He was
                                                               also in the Guineas Book of Records in 1981 and 1982 and he broke the
                                                               SA Waterspeed Record in 1988.
                                                                  He won the British Powerboat Grand Prix in the 1989 World
                                                               Powerboat Series.
                                                                  He competed in the South African Stock Car Auto Racing
                                                               Championships in 2002, won two Sascar Championships, two SA Oval
                                                               Championships and one Wesbank Modified Championship.
                                                                  “And so as Pete has seen the final checkered flag, the Lindenberg
                                                               Racing Team is celebrating the end of the 2021 season with 4
                                                               championship wins. Today was nothing short of unbelievable for
                                                               everyone as we walked away with a win in Legends A for Peter, a win in
                                                               Legends B for Paige, a win in Sports & GT A for James Temple and a win
