                                                                                adults alike. However, horse riding comes with
                                                                                the bonus of increased self-confidence, self-
                                                                                esteem and even a proven boost in cognitive
                                                                                abilities. Besides, who doesn’t love stroking
                                                                                and nuzzling the gentle giants at any of the
                                                                                nearby stables?
                                                                                Horse riding is no different from any other
                                                                                sport in the sense that it provides benefits
                                                                                to your physical health.  The rhythm and
                                                                                movement of the horse improve the rider’s
                                                                                circulation and help to stretch muscles,
                                                                                promoting flexibility and range of motion.
                                                                                Riders also have increased balance and
                                                                                coordination, as these critical skills are
                                                                                needed to stay on the horse while learning to
                                                                                ride. In addition to building muscle and bone
                                                                                strength, you get an excellent core workout.
                                                                                The  muscles  that  are mostly worked during
                                                                                horse riding are those in your thighs, lower
                                                                                back, hips and abdominals – essentially, your
                                                                                core.
                                                                                The mental health benefits associated with
                                                                                horse riding are considerable, and reason
                                                                                enough for  you to seriously consider  taking
                                                                                it up as a regular hobby. Frequent interaction
                                                                                with horses fosters a sense of compassion
                                                                                towards animals and teaches the importance
                                                                                of  being  gentle  and  kind  to  other  beings.

                                                                                the wind blowing through your hair, hear
                                                                                the sounds of nature and see the open fields
                                                                                and blue sky all around you. As a result, horse
