bank, all the other needs could be financed. It was heart-
warming to see the generous contributions, 74 cash donations
were made and kept the ship afloat in uncertain Corona waters.
It was announced that the guards were leaving us on 22 May
2020, 51 days into lockdown. An excellent suggestion from a
Cornwall resident was to not send them home empty handed.
Another call was made to the residents to assist. Again, we
were taken aback by the contributions received. This placed

home with a generous parcel to thank their families for their
sacrifice. Each security officer received a Hamper worth more
than R 650, 11 material masks, 10 disposable masks, 2 hand
sanitisers and R 1000 cash. Thank you to each and everyone
who contributed to this project.
The guards displayed a positive attitude throughout their
lockdown shifts, they always remained friendly and supportive,
and passionate about serving their Cornwall community.
The residents supported these initiatives with passion, From left to right: Solly
