Again, these pretty much came
straight out of packets, and were
pieced together. The dates are the
‘questionable things’ and the eels
are eerilly slimy to the touch. The
cookies are just not that happy to
find themselves in the quagmire.

These are intended to look like skeletons, with a • Cherry tomatoes for the face

SOME OTHER SUGGESTIONS...
• Graveyard lasagne covered in grey-green cheese sauce (use
green and black food colouring for effect), without any cheese
topping. After the lasagne has cooked and cooled, add crackers
for tombstones - use a food marker pen for writing the R.I.P. on the
crackers.
• Severed finger viennas – cut a fingernail shape at the top of each
Vienna. Cut the tip off the other end and add tomato sauce for
blood.
• Pumpkin eggs – cut hard boiled eggs in half lengthwise, remove
the yolks, add mayonnaise and a little Dijon mustard (make the
consistency quite firm), pipe the mixture back into the egg whites,
sprinkle with paprika and add the tip of a gherkin for the stalk.
• Monster mini burgers – take small round bread rolls, put a meat
ball into each. Decorate with lumpy tomato-ish sauce for the blood
and cheese cut into long triangles for fangs.
• Mummy mini-pizzas – if you’re good at making pizza dough,
make the dough in a rectangular shape and cut it into smaller
rectangles. Cover with tomato paste and thin strips of cheese for
