initiative, which holds
deep meaning in
honour of the iconic
Nelson Mandela,
has been making a
positive impact for the
past nine years.
aving been selected as an
ambassador for 67 Blankets
in September 2020, Colleen
HTeklenburg is passionate about
spreading awareness and rallying support
for this inspiring cause. During her first
year on the job, she challenged people
to come together and unleash their
creativity by crafting as many green and
gold blankets as possible. These became a
massive Bokke Blanket, symbolising South
Africa's triumphant victory in the Rugby
World Cup. Since then, the response has
been nothing short of awe-inspiring,
with many talented knitters graciously
volunteering to crochet blankets for this
noble cause.
In a short period, the Dainfern KnitWits
have formed a close bond, united by
their shared passion for making a positive
impact, one stitch at a time. Through
