The cupboards and storage units were
given a facelift with white Velvaglo
enamel. It was a delicate job performed
by paint specialist Milton Moyo
Contractors. The existing floral roman
blinds were painted white with fabric
paint, completing the strictly black and
white kitchen.
The floor to ceiling rustic wine rack
that sectioned off the dining room was
removed and replaced with a cherry
wood counter and shelves. This let in
Main bathroom after more light and linked the dining area to
the open plan lounge.
The three bathrooms were gutted and
new fittings were installed, with cherry
wood finishes used in some areas. This
added substantially to the value of the
property.
The huge main en suite bathroom off the
main bedroom was fitted with double
basins set in a cherry wood countertop
Main bathroom after Main bathroom before and a free-standing modern bath was
added along with a large walk-in shower.
To take advantage of balmy, sunny days,
a back door off the bathroom leads to a
small, enclosed courtyard that was fitted
with an outdoor shower. A selection of
large potted plants were added to give
this enclosure an outdoor atrium feel.
The low-maintenance garden is filled with
hardy indigenous plants and large trees.

This project was not without its fair share
of problems, as can be expected in any
renovation but, all in all, the result is
sleek and attractive and the value of the
property has significantly increased.
