he owners spotted this modest
and tired home in a good position
in Phase 2 of the estate, close to
Tthe park and all the facilities. They
had searched the estate diligently, with
a tight specification regarding position,
natural light and an open floor plan. After
a long search, they pounced on the ideal
blank canvas!
The owners didn’t extend but fearlessly
gutted the entire house, replacing all
windows, doors, floors, and cupboards.
The style they chose is very contemporary
modern – minimalist with clean lines.
Inspired by many styles, the owners love
neutral tones, adding colour to change
it up with items as simplistic as cushions,
curtains, plants and artwork carefully
selected and curated.
Rather than rely on an architect, builder or
decorator, the couple project managed the
entire process themselves! Spending tireless
weekends and free evenings searching styles
and fittings to create their dream home, they
did all the design and visuals themselves. It
took five months to complete the project.
Each area of the project was outsourced
to a specialist. Meticulously, they procured
three quotes for every part of the renovation
before deciding who they would go with.
The main problem with the house, they
explain, was that it was just very outdated. This
was a relatively easy fix with the installation of
teracoat flooring, aluminium window frames
and doors, a fireplace, solid oak cupboards,
plantation shutters, downlighting, nutech
decking, paint and some garden landscaping.

flow with lots of light all leading out onto their

decking and installed a lusso hydro therapy
