they chose simple designs, used contrasting
colours on walls to create warm tones and
feature spaces, and maximised the use of
natural light. They also chose the best quality
sanitary fittings they could afford.
The owners feel that the end result is
beautiful in summer as all the stacking
doors open out to the garden and pool. The
house is warm in winter as they installed

The couple say they learned a lot from
this project – perhaps the most important
things being careful research, double-
checking plans and ideas, doing the hard
work of procuring multiple quotes and
buying the best quality affordable.
This winter, the couple plan to extend
their home, adding a 4th bedroom en
suite and a pyjama lounge for their son.
They may also extend their garage as the
needs of the family grow.
