MANDELA DAY #ESTATECHALLENGE
Businesses and Fourways residents join hands for Mandela Day initiative
his Mandela Day, 18 July 2022,
saw the launch of a new initiative
whereby residents of three
Testates in Fourways: Cedar Lakes,
Fourways Gardens, and Dainfern Golf
Estate, spent their 67 minutes helping the
less fortunate – at the most basic level –
filling an empty belly.
The neighbourhood was buzzing with
goodwill, as participants in each estate
gathered to sort out the ingredients for a
nourishing meal. The businesses sponsoring
the event provided jars, packing equipment
and soup ingredients to fill 3 000 ‘Jars of
Hope’ - each jar will provide a hot meal for
four homeless and needy people.
