OKTOBERFEST

ith perfect weather and clear
skies, The Gardens Bistro
transformed the Clubhouse
Wlawns into a veritable beer tent!
Classic beer benches and tables, blue-and-
white check tablecloths, menus with German
food specialities for the day, and a Stella Bar
were all ready and waiting for the many excited
Fourways Gardens residents and their guests.
Filling up from 12pm, the tent and other venues
were all full by mid-afternoon, and beers were
constantly making their way to tables.

While there was live music at the tent to
entertain the adults, kiddies’ entertainment was
set up at the Tennis Gazebo – jumping castle,
face painter, and a balloon artist. The kids made
full use of these! As the late afternoon sun
moved through the tent, the mood only got
jollier, and sing-a-longs to classics like Sweet
Caroline were the order of the day.

A resounding success, the Fourways Gardens
Beer Fest was well attended, and The
Gardens Bistro team was in top form to keep
residents and guests happy. This day would
not be possible without some very generous
sponsorships, however. So, we would like
to thank Stella Artois for their partnership,
especially the Stella Artois Bar.

Club Reality was our primary sponsor again this
year. Martin Riley and the team were also in
attendance to enjoy the day. Van Deventer and
Van Deventer Attorneys were co-sponsors with
Club Reality. We similarly express our gratitude
for their continued sponsorship of this event.
Without the generous sponsorships of Stella
Artois, Club Reality, and Van Deventer and Van
Deventer Attorneys, we could not have had
such a successful Oktoberfest.

We are confident that next year’s Oktoberfest
will be just as successful, if not an even more
significant event – so diarise a reminder now to
book for next year. Prost!
