NIGHT

n another unbeatable Highveld
spring Saturday afternoon, our
second Movie Night for 2023
Oarrived with much anticipation.
Our sponsors, Univest, made the evening
possible and were also at the popcorn and
slushie stand, handing out refreshments
with a smile.
As 6pm arrived, we were eagerly waiting
to start the screening of Beauty and the
Beast at 6:20pm. With many new families
attending the Movie Night, we know that
the first of many unforgettable memories to
be made growing up in Fourways Gardens
were made.
Not even loadshedding could dampen the
mood, and much to the excitement of the
young attendees, the generator was fired
up! Connected and running, the screen
had collapsed during the brief power
interruption, and it was quite a sight – all
hands-on deck, residents were helping to
push the screen up as it reinflated. With the
screen and electronics ready, we resumed
the movie!
We thank the residents who always make
these events so much fun and the generous
sponsorship of Keri and Mark from Univest,
who are determined to make this event
even better!
