STEPS TO ENSURE SAFE RECYCLING
WITH WHOLE EARTH RECYCLING
Recycling in our estate is on Wednesdays.
Wednesday Procedure:
STEP 1: Purchase blue, clear, green, purple, red, or yellow refuse
bags.
STEP 2: Place all your dry recyclables (paper, plastic, glass, cans,
cartons like long-life milk and electronic waste – anything with
a plug) together into the same bag (there is no need to sort the
recycling into different bags).
STEP 3: Place your full blue bag(s) outside for collection every
Wednesday morning by 07:30am, except on public holidays and
when Whole Earth Recycling closes for a week at the end of the
year.
Cardboard is to be flattened and placed next to the recycling
wheelie bin if it is too bulky to fit into your blue bag(s). Please let
Whole Earth Recycling know if you have a large or heavy electronic
item such as a fridge and you need the team to help you collect
it from inside your property. Email: info@wholeearth.co.za, call
011 791 4537, or visit: www.wholeearth.co.za
Whole Earth Recycling will collect your recycling and take it
to their warehouse where they support a community project
consisting of 35 sorters, who sort and sell the recyclables to
generate an income for themselves.
DID YOU KNOW that as an estate our recycling
participation rate has increased, and we are now
diverting a whopping 2, 276 tonnes of recyclables
(products that can be recycled) from landfill every week?
This equates to about 9, 855 tonnes every month and
is 2, 061 tonnes per month, more than what we were
recycling in November last year. Well done!
