MOVIE NIGHT
12 April
ith chilly and overcast weather
greeting us on the Friday
morning of Movie Night, we
Wwere nervously checking our
weather apps until the skies started to clear
and we finally saw some sunshine!
The newly returfed Phase 1 Park saw its first
large community event, and what a crowd
there was at the Movie Night! The popcorn
machine was kept poppin’ the whole evening,
and the chilly night air did not diminish the
appetite for slushies!
Our primary sponsors, Gaye Cawood Realty
even had face-painting on the evening. The
Fourways Gardens Shopping Centre also
partnered with us to make the slushies and
popcorn available – after all, what is a Movie
Night without them?
As dusk fell, we started our screening of
Encanto, not without a technical difficulty up
front, but with this quickly resolved, bums in
seats and popcorn at the ready, we settled in
to watch the movie. Our Movie Night is such
a favourite that even former residents who
left a while ago take the time to comment on
how much they miss these evenings with the
Fourways Gardens Community!
As usual, our paramedic was at the ready, and
once again, did not even have to dispense
a plaster – thank you to all the parents who
watched the kiddies and ensured we could
have an uneventful evening.
These events are only possible with the
generosity of sponsors, and we would like to
express a huge thank you to Gaye Cawood
and her team at Gaye Cawood Realty and the
Fourways Gardens Shopping Centre who foster
our community spirit by partnering with the
HOA to make these events possible – and free!
We have a second Movie Night planned in
September, and so be
sure to keep your
eyes open for
advertisements
and book so that
you don’t miss
out!
