SHOUTOUT FOR COMMUNITY
INVOLVEMENT
ith the recent pipe burst on
Bushwillow Road, it became
evident just how important
Wcommunity involvement is.
Apart from our Estate Manager, Charlene
and our Chief Operations Officer, Rudy,
spending many hours calling contacts
to expedite the work, it still took three
days. Our security did a fantastic job of
directing traffic with minimal disruption
to the flow, alleviating a tense situation.
Johannesburg Water experienced great
difficulty in getting the hole dry for work
to commence with the major pipe leaking
more water than their and the estate’s
pumps could clear from the hole. Many
people drove by looking disappointingly
at the work being done and hoping for
a quick fix. Then Stuart Spencer stopped
and got involved.
Stuart is not only a Fourways Gardens
resident but also the owner of Go Hire.
Not only did Go Hire supply three pumps
to drain the water, but they also supplied
staff and fuel for the duration of the repairs.
When residents make such a fantastic
gesture of goodwill for the benefit of not
only our estate but the entire area, with
no request for recognition, we believe in
saying THANK YOU!
Please support their business if you
need any of the following: drilling,
compacting, DIY, ladders, gardening,
sanding, scaffolding, breaking and all
other equipment needs.
