MONTHLY
DRAW
Friday, 30 August
he spring cold snap came a week
early this year, and our monthly
draw on Friday was a bit chillier
Tthan the days before (and after)!
This did not hinder our attendance, and
the possibility of winning R6,000 convinced
many FWG residents to join the Monthly
Draw at The Gardens Bistro with Century 21.
Our musician for the evening was Jess
Robus, a twice-published resident, who
will be going to Stellenbosch for tertiary
studies next year. With a proud mom, dad,
and grandmother sitting up front, we must
applaud Jess for her ability to concentrate
on her piano and singing despite all the
activity around her!
Century 21 Fourways was out in force
and constantly scanned the room for any
newcomers who hadn’t yet entered the
lucky draw competition.
Our kiddies’ lucky draw was done by
Jess, who drew her sister, Tash’s entry in a
surprise twist of events! In keeping with this
unofficial theme, Patrycja Verster’s name
was drawn, by chance, by her son Kristian!
Heidi Isdale won the other lucky draw
hamper, having just celebrated a birthday
– congratulations!
Our draw for the cash kitty was the final
draw for the night, and the would-be
winner was nowhere to be seen, meaning
that it’s a rollover with R7,500 up for grabs
in the September Monthly Draw. To add to
the irony, Chris was at The Gardens Bistro
earlier that afternoon, and had he stuck
around for the draw, he would have been
R6,000 richer! It just shows that you must be
in it to win it, and present to claim it!!
