CLASSICS CLUB EVERGREEN LUNCH

Friday, 9 May

n a refreshing departure from our usual
routines, the Classics Club gathered on
Friday, 9 May, for a midday luncheon at
IThe Gardens Bistro. Framed by Joburg’s
famously sunny winter skies, members
basked in the warmth of good food and
even better company.

The spread – an inviting trio of lasagnas,
vibrant salads, and rosemary focaccia – set
the stage for hearty laughter and relaxed
Friday afternoon conversation. We extend
our thanks to Evergreen Broadacres
for their generous sponsorship of the
luncheon. Winnie was the lucky recipient
of a beautiful bouquet, generously
donated by Merci Flowers.
Evergreen, long-time supporters of
our Club, outdid themselves once
again. Annelize kindly distributed
complimentary vouchers for their
Wednesday evening experience – a
dinner and sleepover offering a taste of
the estate’s relaxed luxury.
For newer members, this monthly get-
together is more than just a meal – it’s
an opportunity to forge friendships,
discover new interests, and, as always,
keep the spirit of the Classics Club alive
and thriving.
