The Dainfern College students provided reflections on
their Mandela Day experience.
Going to Fourways Gardens for the tree planting ceremony was a fun and AT ASKING PRICE MOPANE LODGE ASKING R3.1m
memorable experience. I not only spent time with my friends and met new
people, but I also gained a deeper appreciation for nature. The visit taught
me a unique life lesson – like taking advice from a tree: bend before you
break, turn over a new leaf, remember your roots, reach for the sky, and enjoy SOLE MANDATE
the view. Overall, it was a day filled with laughter, learning, and growth. FOR SALE FOR SALE

On Friday, I attended the Fourways Gardens tree planting ceremony, and
it was an incredible experience. I learnt how to plant a tree and about the
safety and preparation required before starting the procedure. It felt great
to give back to the community and serve my 67 minutes for Mandela Day.
It was special to actually plant a tree that will offer oxygen and shade for PHASE 2 – ASKING R5.95m 5 BED STUNNER PHASE 2 – ASKING R6.2m AMAZING POSITION!

On Mandela Day, I had the honour of planting hope – one tree at a time – at
Fourways Gardens. It was an amazing experience planting trees for future
generations. Like Nelson Mandela said, “What counts in life is not the mere
fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of
others.” So, we made a difference – with muddy hands, happy hearts, and a
few wobbly tree holes. We didn’t just dig – we grew hope, one tree at a time.
And maybe, just maybe, in a few years, someone will chill under our tree and
say, “Wow… legends planted this.”
— Tadiswa Nyachoto
I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of something bigger than just
planting a tree. Right now, it may seem like a small action, but it has a much
bigger impact. This inspiring event helped me realise the true purpose of
planting a tree – because in the future, these trees will become an important
part of the Fourways Gardens estate. Children will play under them, and
people will enjoy their shade. It’s so rewarding to know that I contributed to
something that will serve its purpose for many years to come.
