Dear Residents,
s I am writing this article, we
are in the beginning stages of
Athe winter.
It is again time to eat wholesome
soup. One thing that I remember that
my grandmother taught me, when
cooking wholesome soup, is to put
soup bones in a pot of cold water
on the stove. As the water starts to
boil, the nutritional value from the
bones seeps into the water to add a
tremendously nutritious and mouth-
watering taste to the base of the soup
to be cooked.
Each of us has his/her favourite
soup: be it thick tomato, chicken and
noodles, farm vegetables, creamy
butternut, pea and ham, minestrone Nathan Dumlao
or beef – may you enjoy your soup this
