s the year draws to a close,
we take a look at the variety
Aof social events, functions and
activities that took place on the Es-
tate. Amongst others, these included
a wine festival on 9 September, a
Heritage Day market on 23 Septem-
ber, a family fun day on 7 October, a
Halloween day on 28 October, a Diwa-
li story day on 5 November and carols
by candlelight on 25 November.
The wine festival saw residents
enjoying good weather, good wine,
music and a great vibe in the es-
tate’s main park.

The family fun day activities includ-
ed a tug of war, dunk tank, balloon
toss, sack race, hula contest, pillow
bash, egg and spoon race and more.
Residents enjoyed food stalls, a live
band and face painting.
The Diwali story day took place
at the Community Library, where
author Sarika Besesar did a reading
of her book entitled Ram and Sita:
The Story of Diwali. The library
hours have been extended - please
see the poster on page 4.
The last event of the year was a
Christmas market and carols by
candlelight, which took place in the
main park.
