              Aloidendron (previously  Aloe)  barberae: Evergreen tree aloe with typical succulent
              leaves, grows up to 18m tall. Young bark smooth and grey; older bark deeply furrowed.
              Natural habitat, high rainfall areas. Recently in common use in landscaped areas, even
              popular in gardens overseas.



























                Psychotria capensis (Birdberry): Small evergreen tree with glossy green leaves.
                Terminal heads of bright yellow flowers. Clusters of fruit turning from yellow
                to red to black and favoured by fruit-eating birds. Natural habitat, evergreen
                forest margins.





                     Croton gratissimus (Lavender Feverberry): Very drought tolerant. Growth rate moderate. Deciduous to semi-deciduous
                     with occasional bright orange leaves. Natural habitat, woodland and coastal bush on rock outcrops; soils from clay to
                     sand.




























               Rothmannia globosa (September Bells): Small evergreen
               tree. Glossy green leaves. Large creamy-white scented
               flowers, borne en masse. Natural habitat, coastal dune and
               riverine bush and forest. Excellent focal plant for back of
               shrub border.
