ED'S COMMENT
THE DIGITAL DRIVE
fter 15 years, Landscape SA will only be
published online due to the print media
Aindustry having gone through significant
changes as a result of Covid and the lockdown.
In our personal, social and working lives, the
pandemic has altered just about everything!
While we know that this is necessary, we also
acknowledge the fact that many of us still enjoy
the tangibility of paper, its look and feel, and the
sense of permanence it has always had.
The digital magazine will be available on our
website, www.salandscape.co.za, and we are
committed to remaining the trusted mouthpiece
for the green industry. I encourage you to
send me your ideas, suggestions, company
information and product news. Email me on
karynr@nowmedia.co.za.
We will be communicating more regularly
with our readers via a weekly newsletter, and
the electronic magazine will continue to be
distributed via industry associations as well as
our own data base, built up over many years.
The green industry, like many others, has
embraced Zoom as a popular platform for people
to interact with each other and conduct training.
While it can never be ‘the real McCoy’, it is a good
substitute for the time being. Take a look at the
article in this issue called “The Pros and Cons of
Zoom”.
We also feature a profile on Dave Kirkby, a
founding father of the green industry who is still
actively consulting. He is ever the stalwart!
Best wishes for the festive season. May 2021 be a
better one for us all!
