irkby and Carr are focussing on the residential market – home
gardens, children’s play spaces, small putting greens, around
Kswimming pools or any area where natural grass will not grow.
Five-a-side soccer fields, cricket pitches and smaller sports amenities
will also benefit from the installation of this synthetic turf.
Product range
There are six grass types available: Windsor, Kensington, Knightsbridge, Jill, Jonty and Dave Kirkby at the launch party
Trafalgar, Play Elite and Sport.
Windsor is the flagship product with an extra thick pile, monofilament
fibre, WW yarn technology and double backing. It is soft to the touch
and durable;
Kensington has a C-shaped yarn with double backing, stays upright
and requires less brushing. It is 30% cooler than flat yarn grass and is
ideal for gardens and leisure areas;
Knightsbridge is a versatile, multi-application grass, designed to
replicate South African grass. It has an extra thick, high resilience
support yarn and increased pile height;
Trafalgar is ideal to green up a balcony, patio or rooftop, or for use as
an indoor carpet. It has a flat shaped yarn with double backing. It is a
bi-colour, low maintenance and hard-wearing product;
Play Elite is well suited to playgrounds where durability is required, and
has a stem yarn with triple backing. Designed for heavy footfall, it is a
hard-wearing product that is well-suited to playground applications; Corne Nothnagel, sALI operations director at the launch party
