TGMA chairman Henk Buitendach
introduced and warmly welcomed Sun
City’s golf director Ken Payett, who spoke
about future projects and plans for Sun
City as a whole. Jomar Snyman, course
superintendent at the Gary Player Golf
Club, provided valuable insight and
information on tournament preparation,
as they were preparing to host the
SA Open which took place from 30
November – 5 December 2021.
Members played a round of nine holes,
teeing off at The Lost City. Those not
playing took the opportunity to visit
Sun City’s many facilities, such as the
clear blue pools and Valley of the Waves.
For those who had never been to Sun
City, this was a highlight of the trip.
Prize giving for the golfers was followed
by a late lunch - a typical bush braai
experience served at The Shebeen, as
seen in the accompanying photos.
