regulations, accessibility, site layout, age
group for which the equipment is intended,
and any specific design considerations. It is
important to ensure that there is enough
space between the equipment and that it is
installed on a suitable surface such as rubber
mulch, to minimise the risk of injury.
The pieces of play equipment were
manufactured specifically for the project,
with design assistance from Nova Landscape
and Golf Course Architecture. The equipment
was custom-designed to fit the space.
The play equipment was assembled on
site. The method of assembly, manufacture
of the main frame at the factory, placing
equipment in position and adding finishes all
depend on the complexity of the equipment
and availability of space. The final assembly of
wood and woven rope was completed on site. A ‘fox hole’ provides a fun hide-out for children
All playground equipment was custom-
designed and manufactured, keeping
in mind durability and position of play
equipment next to the paddle courts and
golf course.
