he Silver Lakes HOA organised
127 personalised Christmas gifts
Tfor the residents of Kungwini Paul
Jungnickel Home. We would like to thank
Dorothy Martin for all the effort she put
into sourcing each individual gift and
making it special for each person.
The Paul Jungnickel Home provides
residential and medical care to 140 adults
between the ages of 18 and 60 with varying
disabilities. Staff assess the potential of
each individual in the home and do their
utmost to provide stimulating activities and
the necessary care.
They tend to the medical, social, emotional
and physical needs of each resident and
ensure that the residents have access to
24-hour medical care and three meals
a day. Residents are also transported to
medical appointments on a daily basis. A
social worker is available to tend to each
resident’s psycho-social needs.
They rely heavily on volunteers to spend
quality time with the residents and to help
facilitate recreational activities for them.
