STOP THE BLEED

Did you know that you can be your own first responder?

who’ve been injured in serious accidents or disasters.
Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate
responder if you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.

The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the
one who is most likely to save him or her from bleeding to
death. By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you will gain
the ability to recognise life-threatening bleeding and act
quickly and effectively to control bleeding. This will happen
once you learn three quick techniques.

These techniques, taught as part of the STOP THE BLEED®
training course, can empower you to make a life-or-death
difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

A group of us volunteers from the community, including
several Silver Lakes HOA and Bidvest Protea Coin personnel,
took up the challenge recently. We gave three hours of our
time and gained life-saving knowledge and practical training
on a challenge that anyone could easily be exposed to.

If you never venture outside, never do any DIY projects,
never hunt, never drive, etc., then you may not need this
information. However, if you do all of the above or if you
carry a firearm, have loved ones, care about others and are
willing to assist in cases of emergency, then this training
course is for you.
