T he Waterfall City Field Guide,
published in May 2023, is
a limited edition, 170-page
publication, which details the
history of Waterfall City, its location,
topography, climate, ecology and
geology. It also lists and illustrates
all the indigenous trees and shrubs,
mushrooms and fungi, wildflowers,
grasses, birdlife and wildlife, fish,
insects and more, alongside a fold-
out map of the green belt areas. In
short, it’s the definitive guide to the
natural wonders of Waterfall City and
a fantastic legacy for its creators –
six proud Waterfall City residents.
When the Waterfall City Field Guide
was published, it was agreed that
an annual update would be made
available in digital format when
additional species of wildlife were
identified on the various estates
within the development. Ron Searle,
who had the resourcefulness to
